Ingredients
  

Frozen Pound Cake

  • 1 package frozen pound cake thawed and cut into cubes

Cherry Pie Filling

  • 2 cans cherry pie filling

Hot Fudge Ice Cream Topping

  • 1 jar hot fudge ice cream topping warmed

Whipped Topping

  • 4 cups frozen whipped topping thawed

Preparation Steps

  • Arrange half of the pound cake cubes into the bottom of a glass trifle bowl; top with 1 can cherry pie filling, half of the hot fudge, and 2 cups whipped topping. Repeat layers.
  • Drizzle remaining hot fudge over the top. Spoon a few dollops of cherry pie filling decoratively over whipped topping.
  • Cover trifle and refrigerate until chilled before serving, at least 2 hours.

Notes

This dessert can be assembled up to one day in advance and kept chilled. Use brownies instead of pound cake and garnish with chocolate curls before serving for an extra-chocolaty variation.
