Plantains
- 2 pieces yellowish / greenish plantains can use green or speckled brown/yellow also
- 3-4 Tablespoons avocado or coconut oil
- salt to taste
Preparation and Cooking
Chop off the ends and score the skin of the plantains using a knife.
Peel back the plantain skin carefully.
Chop the plantains into ¼-inch thick pieces, preferably diagonally.
Heat oil in a large skillet until shimmering but not smoking.
Add plantains to the oil in an even layer. Fry until browned on one side, then flip and brown the other side, approximately 4-6 minutes.
Remove to a paper-towel lined plate and dust with salt.
