Onion Rings

  • 1 whole Onion sliced into ½ inch thick slices and divided into rings
  • 0.5 cup Flour
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs

Preparation

  • Place flour in one bowl, eggs and milk in a second bowl (beat them together), and the Panko crumbs in a third bowl.
  • Coat the sliced onions in the flour, then in the egg mixture, and then in the breadcrumb mixture. Place on a separate plate until ready to fry.
  • Continue to do this until all of the onions have been coated.
  • Add oil to a small saucepan, you’ll need about 2 inches. Heat on medium until it reaches 375 degrees F.
  • Place the coated onions in the oil and fry on each side until golden brown, approximately 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Transfer the fried onion rings to a plate lined with a paper towel to cool. Optionally top with salt to keep them crisp.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch. Enjoy!
