Onion Rings
- 1 whole Onion sliced into ½ inch thick slices and divided into rings
- 0.5 cup Flour
- 2 Large Eggs
- 0.5 cup Milk
- 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
- Vegetable Oil For Frying
Preparation
Place flour in one bowl, eggs and milk in a second bowl (beat them together), and the Panko crumbs in a third bowl.
Coat the sliced onions in the flour, then in the egg mixture, and then in the breadcrumb mixture. Place on a separate plate until ready to fry.
Continue to do this until all of the onions have been coated.
Add oil to a small saucepan, you’ll need about 2 inches. Heat on medium until it reaches 375 degrees F.
Place the coated onions in the oil and fry on each side until golden brown, approximately 2-3 minutes per side.
Transfer the fried onion rings to a plate lined with a paper towel to cool. Optionally top with salt to keep them crisp.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch. Enjoy!
