Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14-oz.
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoon Key lime zest *
  • ½ cup Key lime juice
  • 1 9-inch graham cracker piecrust

Topping

  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • to taste fresh Key lime slices *

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Whisk together condensed milk, egg yolks, Key lime zest, and Key lime juice until well blended.
  • Pour mixture into graham cracker piecrust.

Baking and Cooling

  • Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until pie is set. Cool completely on a wire rack for about 1 hour. Chill for 1 hour before serving.

Topping

  • Beat whipping cream at high speed with an electric mixer for 2 to 3 minutes or until soft peaks form, gradually adding powdered sugar.
  • Top pie with whipped cream and garnish with fresh Key lime slices, if desired.

Notes

Regular lime zest and slices may be substituted. Homemade whipped cream is preferred.
